Melting Scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market rose up to INR 500/t, as per sources. Heavy melting scrap (HMS 80:20) is assessed at INR 37,100/t, while attachment stands at INR 38,100/t. Rising steel billet prices and improved trade enquiries in the finished steel segment in yesterday’s trading session prompted suppliers to raise offers.
