Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market rose by INR 500/t d-o-d on 8 Nov’24, as per BigMint’s assessment. HMS (80:20) prices stood at INR 34,500/t ($409/t) exy. Transactions in semi-finished and finished steel increased in yesterday’s trading session in the region. Additionally, active buying inquiries for scrap prompted suppliers to increase their offers today.
