Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang have increased by INR 200/t d-o-d. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 41,200/t exy. Despite limited trade in semis and finished steel in the western region, moderate buying enquiries for scrap in the last trading session have supported the price hike. However, rolling material prices are range bound today, fluctuating by INR 200-300/t.
