Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market rose by INR 200/t d-o-d on 19 May’25, as per BigMint’s assessment. HMS (80:20) prices were assessed at INR 33,700/t ($394/t) exy. Trade activities in semi-finished and finished steel increased in the late hours of previous trading session in the region. Additionally, decent buying inquiries for scrap prompted suppliers to increase their offers today.
