Domestic melting scrap prices in most of the major consuming markets rose by INR 100-400/t d-o-d. Current trade price for HMS (80:20) is assessed at INR 25,200/t Jalna, INR 24,500/t Chennai (DAP). Prices increased following hike in other substitute product (sponge iron) prices along with moderate trade activities in semi-finished and finished steel.
