Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Alang, Gujarat, remained stable d-o-d on 23 Jan’24. As per SteelMint’s assessment, HMS (80:20) prices stood at INR 34,100/t exy. Semi-finished steel prices remained stable in the region in yesterday’s trading session and moderate buying inquiries for scrap at current price level prompted scrap suppliers to keep offers firm today.
