Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Alang, Gujarat, remained stable d-o-d on 1 Feb’25. According to BigMint’s assessment, HMS (80:20) prices were at INR 33,700/t ($389/t) ex-yard. Moderate trade activity was observed for semi-finished and finished steel in the region during yesterday’s trading session. This, coupled with average demand for scrap, prompted suppliers to maintain stable offers today.
