Shipbreaking melting scrap prices in Alang, Gujarat, remains stable d-o-d, as per SteelMint assessment. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 46,500/t exy. Scrap prices remain unchanged despite the lack of trades in semis and finished steel during the last trading session, with the suppliers witnessing limited transactions in the spot market. However, availability issues at yards have prompted suppliers to keep offers unchanged today.
