Shipbreaking melting scrap prices in Alang, Gujarat, remained stable d-o-d, as per SteelMint assessment. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 49,500/t exy. Scrap prices remain stable despite the lack of trades in semis and finished steel. However, in the late trading hours yesterday suppliers noticed an improvement in prices of semi-finished steel in the Punjab region, which provided some support towards keeping scrap offers stable today.
