Melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market were recorded as stable today. The trade reference price of Heavy Melting Scrap (HMS 80:20) is assessed at INR 39,200-39,400/t, while attachment scrap prices stand at INR 40,200-40,400/t. As per trade sources, limited availability of scrap in the region and moderate transactions in semi-finished steel resulted in keeping scrap prices stable on 26 Oct’21.
