Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Alang, Gujarat, remained stable for the fifth consecutive day on 23 May’24. According to BigMint’s assessment, HMS (80:20) prices were at INR 38,800/t ($466/t) ex-yard. Prices of semi-finished and finished steel remained almost stable in yesterday’s trading session in the region. Along with moderate trade activities for scrap, this prompted suppliers to keep their offers stable today.
