Melting scrap prices today rose by around INR 100-300/t across major Indian markets following similar price movement in finished steel (structure and rebar), particularly in Ahmedabad, western India. However in the Northern region, prices remained supportive on usual procurement amid slight shortage of scrap in the market, trade partners reported to Steelmint.
