Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Alang, Gujarat, remained stable d-o-d on 31 Jan’25. According to BigMint’s assessment, HMS (80:20) prices were at INR 33,700/t ($389/t) ex-yard. In yesterday’s trading session, the region saw average deal activity for both semi-finished and finished steel. This, coupled with moderate buying interest for scrap, prompted suppliers to maintain steady prices today.
