Shipbreaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market fell by INR 1,000/t d-o-d. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 41,200/t exy. Semi-finished steel prices fell by INR 1,000-1,200/t in Gujarat market in last two days due to limited buying interest and cheaper imported scrap arrival in Kandla. It prompted scrap suppliers in the region to reduce their offers today.
