Melting scrap prices declined further in the Western region by approximately INR 600/t, witnessing a maximum downfall against the previous day whereas the same in the Southern region saw nominal changes and moved down by INR 100-300/t. Further, the Northern region-based Mandi market witnessed limited transactions owing to the first-day strike of scrap suppliers. Prices in the near-term may see slight corrections as per the market requirements, trade participants reported to SteelMint.
