Shipbreaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market increased further by INR 600/t d-o-d on 29 Apr’22, as per SteelMint assessment. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 49,800/t exy. Improved trades in semi-finished steel as well as moderate buying enquiries for scrap on the last trading session prompted scrap suppliers to raise offers, sources informed.
