Melting scrap prices increased further by INR 300/t in Alang today. The trade reference price of HMS (80:20) is assessed at 37,600/t. With the pick in trading momentum and buying enquiries for semis and finished long steel products in the spot market, scrap suppliers have raised prices in Alang.
