Melting scrap prices moved up by INR 700/t, especially in the Alang market following improved transactions in semi-finished steel the previous day. Likewise, other markets also witnessed buoyant sentiments backed by rising finished steel prices amid shortfall of material in some locations. Prices in the near term may change as per market dynamics, trade sources told SteelMint.
