Shipbreaking melting scrap prices rose by INR 600/t in Alang, Gujarat, on 13 Apr’22. HMS (80:20) prices are at INR 46,800/t exy. Prices increased on rising prices of semi-finished steel during the late hours of yesterday’s trading session. The improvement in purchase enquiries for scrap and rolling plates also pushed suppliers to increase scrap prices today.
