Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang increased by INR 500/t d-o-d on 6 Mar’26, as per BigMint’s assessment. HMS (80:20) prices were assessed at INR 34,300/t ($374/t) exy. The regional market witnessed active trading, supported by an INR 400-600/t rise in semi-finished and finished steel prices. Additionally, improved buying inquiries for scrap prompted suppliers to raise their offers today.
