Melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang increased today by INR 400/t. Rise in semi-finished steel prices and improvement in buying enquiries for scrap by the IF units based at Bhavnagar, Gujarat, are the key factors supporting scrap prices today, sources informed. Trade reference prices are as below:
- Melting scrap (HMS 80:20): INR 36,700-36,900/t
- Attachment scrap: INR 37,700-37,900/t
