Shipbreaking melting scrap prices rose by INR 300/t in Gujarat’s Alang, SteelMint assessment shows. HMS (80:20) prices are at INR 48,500/t exy. However, moderate buying enquiries were observed for scrap at a high price level. Fluctuating prices of semi-finished steel during yesterday’s trading session led suppliers to further raise offers.
