Shipbreaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market increased by INR 300/t, SteelMint assessment shows. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 45,500/t exy. Despite limited trades in semis and finished steel in the western region, scrap suppliers witnessed moderate buying enquiries due to shortage of scrap, which prompted them to raise their offers today.
