Shipbreaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market increased by INR 300/t d-o-d, SteelMint assessment shows. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 43,500/t exy. A slight increase in semi-finished steel prices in the key Punjab market yesterday encouraged scrap suppliers to quote offers on the higher side today. However, buying inquires are still limited for semis and scrap.
