Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang increased by INR 300/t d-o-d on 13 Apr’24, as per BigMint assessment. HMS (80:20) prices were assessed at INR 35,000/t ($419/t) exy. Trade activities in semi-finished and finished steel increased in the late hours of yesterday’s trading session in the region, accompanied by active buying inquiries for scrap. This prompted suppliers to increase their offers today.
