Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market increased by INR 300/t d-o-d on 31 Jul’24, as per BigMint’s assessment. HMS (80:20) prices were assessed at INR 36,000/t ($430/t) exy. Active demand for semi-finished and finished steel were observed in the region during yesterday’s trading session. Along with decent buying inquiries for scrap from Bhavnagar-based mills, led suppliers to increase their offers today.
