Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang increased by INR 300/t d-o-d on 9 Mar’24. HMS (80:20) prices were assessed at INR 34,000/t exy. In yesterday’s trading session, average purchasing activity for semi-finished and finished steel was observed in the region, along with moderate scrap inquiries, prompting scrap suppliers to raise prices today.
