Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang increased by INR 300/t d-o-d on 31 Mar’26, as per BigMint’s assessment. HMS (80:20) prices were assessed at INR 36,300/t ($386/t) exy. During yesterday’s trading session, semi-finished and finished steel prices rose in the region. Furthermore, active buying inquiries for scrap from induction furnace mills in Bhavnagar, Gujarat, led scrap suppliers to increase their offers today.
