Melting Scrap prices in Alang increased marginally by INR 200/t on 17 Dec’21. The trade reference price of HMS (80:20) is assessed at INR 37,400/t, while attachment scrap prices stand at INR 38,400/t. Rise in steel billet prices and moderate buying enquiries in the last couple of days supported scrap suppliers to keep prices on the higher side, sources shared.
