India: Melting scrap prices increase by INR 100-400/t

Domestic melting scrap prices are up by INR 100-400/t d-o-d except in few specified markets of western region (Gujarat) and in the northern region owing to shortage of scrap due to some logistic issue, which led to an increase in prices, trade sources shared to SteelMint. Current trade price for HMS (80:20) is assessed at INR 23,900-24,200/t Jalna and INR 22,700-23,000/t Chennai (DAP).
