Steel melting scrap prices inched up by up to INR 600/t on 3 Jun’21, especially in Hyderabad, as rising iron ore prices pushed up sponge iron and semi-finished steel prices, as per SteelMint reports. However, other scrap-dependant markets were upbeat, with prices moving up by INR 200-500/t due to escalating steel prices. Prices in the near term may witness minor changes, as per sources.
