Shipbreaking melting scrap prices increased by INR 100/t today in Alang, Gujarat. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 42,500/t, while attachment scrap prices are at INR 43,500/t exy. Scrap sellers quoted on the higher side despite slow semi-finished steel movement in the spot market. Steel prices were range-bound amid limited enquiries for finished steel.
