India: Melting scrap prices inch up d-o-d in Alang, Gujarat

In Gujarat’s Alang, shipbreaking melting scrap prices increased by INR 200/t d-o-d on 15 July, as per SteelMint assessment. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 43,500/t exy. Despite a price correction in semi-finished steel yesterday, Alang shipbreaking scrap prices improved due to a shortage of scrap.
