Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market inched up by INR 200/t d-o-d on 31 Mar’25, as per BigMint’s assessment. HMS (80:20) stood at INR 34,500/t ($403/t) exy. Semi-finished and finished steel prices in the region increased by INR 100-200/t during the previous trading session. Additionally, a surge in buying inquiries for scrap led suppliers to adjust their offers upward today.
