Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market fell by INR 100/t d-o-d on 24 Apr’24, according to BigMint’s assessment. HMS (80:20) prices were assessed at INR 36,500/t exy. Semi-finished steel prices fell by around INR 100-200/t in the region in yesterday’s trading session along with moderate trade activities in scrap prompted suppliers to reduce their offers today.
