India: Melting scrap prices inch down by INR 500/t, d-o-d, in Alang

Prices of shipbreaking melting scrap in Gujarat’s Alang market dropped INR 500/t day-over-day on 13 Jul’22. Prices for HMS (80:20) are assessed at INR 43,800/t exy. Yesterday the market remained largely quiet as most buyers and sellers chose to wait out. Semi-finished steel prices remained stable, as per SteelMint assessment.
