Shipbreaking melting scrap prices declined further by INR 300/t d-o-d in Gujarat’s Alang market, SteelMint assessment shows. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 40,200/t exy. Slow movement in semi-finished steel prices at Bhavnagar on the last trading session and low buying enquiries for scrap due to high prices resulted in scrap suppliers reducing their offers in the region.
