Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market decreased by INR 200/t d-o-d on 20 Jun’25. According to BigMint’s assessment, HMS (80:20) prices stood at INR 32,200/t ($372/t) ex-yard. Semi-finished and finished steel prices dropped by INR 100-200/t in the region due to limited trade activities, which, along with average scrap trading activity, prompted suppliers to adjust their offers downward.
