Melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market inched up INR 600/t from the price recorded prior to the closing of the last trading session on Wednesday. Heavy melting scrap (HMS 80:20) prices are assessed at INR 40,200/t, while attachment scrap stands at INR 41,200/t. Healthy buying sentiment for semi-finished steel and a few transactions have lifted offers, SteelMint notes.
