Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market inched up by INR 100/t d-o-d on 27 Aug’24, as per BigMint’s assessment. HMS (80:20) prices were assessed at INR 34,000/t ($405/t) exy. Trade activities in semi-finished and finished steel increased in yesterday’s trading session in the region. Additionally, decent buying inquiries for scrap have prompted suppliers to increase their offers today.
