Shipbreaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market declined by INR 1,500/t d-o-d on 1 Jun’22. Semi-finished steel prices fell in major markets of India yesterday and lack of trading activities at current price levels for scrap owing to weakened market sentiments across the region forced suppliers in Alang to reduce their offers today. However, disparity between bids and offers was also seen.
