Shipbreaking melting scrap prices in Alang, Gujarat, increased by INR 400/t today to the highest level since Mar’12, as per data maintained with SteelMint. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 42,400/t, while attachment scrap prices stand at INR 43,400/t exy. Sellers have raised offers on the back of strengthening semi-finished steel prices.
