Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market increased by INR 100/t d-o-d on 1 Oct’22, as per SteelMint assessment. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 42,300/t exy. Suppliers raised offers on the back of an uptick in semis and finished steel prices in Gujarat and moderate buying inquiries for scrap in the last trading day.
