Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market increased further by INR 200/t d-o-d on 14 Sep’22, as per SteelMint assessment. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 43,700/t exy. The recovery in semi-finished steel prices as well as moderate scrap buying enquiries in the last trading session supported prices, sources informed.
