Melting scrap prices fell sharply across markets on 23 Nov’21. Prices moved down by around INR 100-1,300/t throughout the country except for the Chennai market where it remained firm owing to restrained offers amidst continuous rainfall since the last couple of weeks. In Gujarat prices fell by up to INR 1,300/t as inter-state material landed at reasonable prices forcing suppliers to cut offers, sources reported.
