Alang’s (Gujarat) shipbreaking scrap prices dropped today by INR 200/t and in few sizes down by up to INR 900/t d-o-d. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 40,200/t, while attachment prices stand at INR 41,200/t exy. A sharp decline in steel billets prices and low buying enquiries in the spot market amidst weak sentiments prompted scrap suppliers to reduce offers today.
