Shipbreaking melting scrap prices in Alang, Gujarat, declined further by INR 1,000/t d-o-d. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 46,000/t exy. Semi-finished steel prices are falling consistently and the spot market witnessed a low volume of transactions, which forced scrap suppliers to reduce their offers. HMS prices have decreased by INR 3,000/t this week.
