As per BigMint assessment, ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market fell by INR 500/t ($6/t) d-o-d on 25 Jun’24. HMS (80:20) was evaluated at INR 36,300/t exy. Scrap prices moved down for the third straight day. Demand for semi-finished and finished steel during yesterday’s trading session remained limited, along with restricted trade activity in scrap prompted the suppliers to lower their offers today.
