Melting scrap prices continued a downtrend particularly in the northern region despite limited availability and following decline in semi-finished steel prices. However, in other regions, it remained range-bound with slight fluctuations, trade participants reported to SteelMint. A few trade associates expect scrap prices to inch up on a d-o-d basis particularly in the western region.
