Melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market decreased by INR 600/t today, as per reports. The correction in semi-finished steel prices yesterday resulted in lower bids for melting scrap today. Prices fell by INR 600/t despite limited active plots for scrap operations. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 39,800/t and attachment scrap prices stand at INR 40,800/t, SteelMint learnt from sources.
